The Business Leaders Wine Club, Hove, 27/3/2024

We return to Curds & Whey in Hove for this event, where we will have David Deaves talk us through the selection of cheeses and charcuterie that have been selected to try with the wines for this tasting as selected by your co-host, Karl ElwoodMarch.  

The wine theme for this event will be the wines of New Zealand 🇳🇿

The UK remains a significant export market for NZ wine, with early pioneers like Cloudy Bay being instrumental in putting the wines from this part of the world on the map.  As well as tasting a Sauvignon Blanc from this iconic producer, we will also be tasting a range of wines from other celebrated producers that continue to push the quality froward.  Further details to follow.

2 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2022, Marlborough, New Zealand – Golden Cros – Goats cheese from Holmes Hill, East Sussex

3 Villa Maria Cellar Selection Pinot Noir 2021, Marlborough, New Zealand – Old Winchester – Cross between a Cheddar and Gouda from Hampshire.

4 Mount Edward Ted Pinot Noir 2022, Central Otago, New Zealand – Gouda Special Reserve, Traditional Gouda from The Netherlands, matured for 3-years

5 Man O’ War Dreadnort Syrah 2019, Waiheke Island, New Zealand – Manchego – Classic Spanish Cheese made with ewe’s milk.

6 Te Mata Coleraine 2019, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand – Colston Bassett Stilton – This King of cheese is made in Nottinghamshire.
